Video Biography
Here’s an overview of commissioning a video biography from Profile Productions:
Step 3: The Shoot. On
the agreed-on day and time, we will come to your location to shoot the
main interview. We will need about 1 hour to set up, and 1 to 2 hours
for the interview(s) (this will vary depending on which options you
select). At this point, we can also pick up photos and any other
materials you’d like us to shoot in our studio for inclusion in your
video biography. Or, if you don’t want to let the materials leave your
location, we can photograph them there (please allow extra time for
this). Step 1: First Contact. Give us a call or an email! We’ll talk with you
about what you have in mind, make suggestions, and answer any
questions. Then, if you’re interested, we can set up a time to get
together for a personal meeting.
Step 2: Personal Meeting. One
of us will come to meet with you in person, and show you samples of our
work. We’ll help you review your options and customize a video biography to fit your vision
and budget, and take a preliminary look around to scout out the best
place to set up the main interview. If you decide you want to
commission a video biography, you can reserve a shooting date with a
50% deposit, either during or after the meeting.

Step 4. Editing. We’ll
edit the footage and photos into a video biography for you, using the
latest digital editing processes. This will take 4-12 weeks, depending
on the complexity of the piece. A rush charge will apply if you want it
sooner.
Step 5: Review. Next,
we’ll supply you with a review copy of the edited piece. Please watch
it and let us know if you’d like us to revise anything (occasionally
something may turn out to be embarrassing or incorrect, so we’ll give
you a chance to delete it).
Step 6: Delivery. After
your approval, we’ll create the final DVD or VHS copies for you of the
finished piece. The final 50% of the payment is due. You now have a new
family memento!
